This stone is referred to as the 'Comfort Stone'. It can be beneficial in overcoming depression and providing strength (see below) during the process of grief.  It assists in alleviating obsessive thoughts and destructive mental patterns.  BOTSWANA AGATE also assists in overcoming fears such as Agoraphobia (a phobia involving a specific anxiety about feeling unsafe and without a way to escape that fear or anxiety ~ ie. crowds).
 
This is a stone of strength. It allows us to be courageous when facing our negative emotions and addressing them in order to be able to move forward. It provides a shield of protection while simultaneously exuding peaceful and serene energy.
